Welcome to Dowgill Barn.

Set in the heart of Nidderdale; North Yorkshire, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dowgill Barn has been recently (2006) converted into a luxurious and spacious self catering holiday cottage which comfortably sleeps up to six people.

The property is situated on Dowgill Farm which dates back to 1679 and is a traditional Dales stone building where many of the original stone walls and wooden beams have been retained to provide accommodation of real character, for example, all of the bedrooms are open to the pitch of the roof to reveal the wooden trusses.

On the farm a small herd of pedigree Dexter cattle are kept alongside a flock of North of England Mule sheep. Home produced beef and lamb may be available depending on the time of year.

From the Barn there are great views over the surrounding countryside. The garden and outside seating area catches all the afternoon and evening sun and is an ideal place for a barbecue whilst watching the sun set over the hills.
